Constructions (Around the World in 1,000 Pictures) is an ongoing series of sketches being undertaken to explore a number of variable diagrams. The constraints are the given size of the page with each sketch constructed using triangle shapes and single line poche, one triangle in each group shall be left without poche.
The space between figures and focused attention towards figure-ground relationships through application of simple rules using triangles and line poche are the key constraints. What I'm interested in discovering is the shapes that emerge over time and through repetition. I arrange and fill these shapes according to what seems appropriate at the time. These sketches were begun on 19 October 2010.
What they are is what they are, whatever will be, will be. Que sera sera.
